4th Annual West Texas Autism Walk Amazing

04/16/2008 - Saturday April 5th more than 2200 participated in the 4th Annual Autism Walk at the Abilene Zoo. A satellite walk was held in San Angelo where over 800 people turned out. More than $120,000 has been raised so far for Autism research and awareness. The walk this year exceed all expectations and was the subject of a global e-speaks e-mail sent out by Autism Speaks last week. Eastland County is well represented in this effort. Three teams participated: Team Lobo from Cisco and Charles in Charge and the Mulberry School Marchers for Eastland. For the fourth year, the top fund raising teams Haskell's Taylor's Team and Eastland's Charles in Charge - each raising over $20,000. Also, Eastland Middle School student Tiffani Peeples serves on the Walk Committee that is responsible for the Walk itself..
