EASTLAND GETS DIALYSIS CENTER
12/30/2011 - Eastland, TX, December 20, 2011: Eastland Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that they have reached a tentative agreement with AccessCare Dialysis, LLC to provide dialysis services for Eastland County and the surrounding area. AccessCare Dialysis, LLC currently operates dialysis centers in rural communities throughout Texas. This agreement, which is contingent upon additional agreements being completed with the City of Eastland, Eastland Economic Development, Inc., AccessCare Dialysis, LLC, and William Scotsman Company, will result in Eastland Memorial Hospital providing a dialysis center to AccessCare Dialysis, LLC, which will in turn provide dialysis services to our area. The dialysis center to be provided by Eastland Memorial Hospital will be built on property in the Camp Inspiration area, in proximity to The Woodlands Assisted Living Community, on the west side of Eastland. The construction of the 3200 square foot facility by Eastland Memorial Hospital will be a coordinated effort between Eastland Memorial Hospital, the City of Eastland, and Eastland Economic Development, Inc. The impetus for the construction of this dialysis center and the provision of the dialysis services by AccessCare Dialysis, LLC, has been as a result of tremendous support shown for this project by community leaders. The building, to be provided by Eastland Memorial Hospital, will house state-of-the-art equipment, that will provide the best possible treatment available for nephrology patients in this area.
Eastland Memorial Hospital CEO Ted Matthews states that, "It is our hope that the additional agreements with the City of Eastland, Eastland Economic Development, Inc., William Scotsman Company, and AccessCare Dialysis, LLC can be completed in short order and that the construction of this dialysis facility be completed in late spring 2012. It is very gratifying to have such support of this project by the City of Eastland, Eastland Economic Development, Inc. and community leaders. All of our area will benefit because of the generosity shown by these individuals and groups."
